We have added some new features, especially for the DU-EP800 (EP8) drive unit. See e.g. the enhanced “light settings” view on “special settings“.

With this version of eMaxMobileApp it is possible to access and modify also the latest motor firmware versions from Shimano, but only in a LIMITED way (see very below).

TAKE CARE: Although this version of eMaxMobileApp is partially compatible with all the latest motor firmware versions of all drive units, it is NOT possible to change bike settings in order to increase max. motor support speed via Bluetooth!

If you want to speed up your bike with the latest motor firmware versions, you can use the latest version of our Windows based miniMax program or you can downgrade to a previous motor firmware (see documents in the support section).

new version 2.12 of miniMax released

Today we have released the new version 2.12 of our Windows based miniMax program.

In combination with some rare bike configurations, previous versions of miniMax were not completely resetting the bike when exiting the program. This could cause difficulties in the subsequent powering off process of the bike. This issue is solved in this new version 2.12 of miniMax.

Today we have released the new version 2.11 of our Windows based miniMax program.

There are some nice and new features (change of light output state, modification of remaining light time and light power [EP8 only] for saving battery capacity) which all could be used already in the licence free version.

„special settings” is now available also for the new DUEP800 drive unit (this is especially useful if you want to change the derailleur type from mechanical to electronical). Also the new BT-E8036 battery is added.

On Oct. 22 and Nov. 04, 2020 Shimano has released new firmware versions for these drive units: DUE50X0 (4.4.2) and DUEP800 (4.1.1). We have released our Windows based miniMax program version 2.02 which is capable of modifying a bike with the newest firmware according to the USA – modification as well as according to the wheel – circumference – modification (down to its min. value of 1300mm). However, currently it is not possible to process these modifications with our eMaxMobileApp. So please do not update to the newest motor firmware if you intend to optimize your bike via Bluetooth.

Take care: Regarding new motor firmware versions for DUE61X0, DUE7000, DUE80X0 drive units released from Shimano on Oct. 13, 2020.

On Oct. 13, 2020 Shimano has released new firmware versions for these drive units: DUE61X0 (4.6.0), DUE7000 (4.6.0) and DUE80X0 (4.9.0). We have released our Windows based miniMax program version 2.01 which is capable of modifying a bike with the newest firmware according to the USA – modification as well as according to the wheel – circumference – modification (down to its min. value of 1300mm). However, currently it is not possible to process these modifications with our eMaxMobileApp. So please do not update to the newest motor firmware if you intend to optimize your bike via Bluetooth.
