Current possibilities of optimising the new generation drive units EP801/EP6 & RS-variants

Since many months we are intensively analysing the new motor generation drive units DU-EP801 (EP801), DU- EP600 (EP6), EP801-RS and EP6-RS to find appropriate optimising possibilities.

Currently you can use the Windows based miniMax – program and a cable – bound PCE – interface already in the licence free version to unleash the full max. torque and max. peak power of the „RS“ – versions on the new drive units of the Orbea bikes from current modelyear 2023, see also in this German forum post of us.

We also already have found possibilities to increase the max. motor support speed of these new generation drive units, see this German forum post of us. We are working very hard to provide this functionality also in our software soon.

new version 2.32 of miniMax released

Today we have released the new version 2.32 of our Windows based miniMax program.

With this new version max. torque and max. peak power settings could be changed on the new motor types EP801 and EP6 already in the licence key free version.

This could be a great advantage on the reduced “RS” motor versions which are used in the new Orbea bikes.
