new version of eMaxMobileApp 1.84 for iOS and Android released

The latest eMaxMobileApp version 1.84 for iOS and Android is ready for download in Apple AppStore and Google PlayStore.

This version includes new battery types as well as standard settings for the new generation 2 RS drive units.

This version now supports the newly released motor firmware versions:

4.5.0 for the DU-E5000, DU-E5080 and DU-E5080-H drive units

4.8.0 for the DU-E6000, DU-E6110, DU-E6100-CRG and DU-E6180 drive units

4.8.0 for the DU-E7000 drive unit

4.10.0 for the DU-E8000 and DU-E8080 drive units

4.2.0 for the DU-EP800 (EP8), DU-EP800-RS (EP8-RS) and DU-EP800-CRG (EP8-CRG)drive units

4.4.1 for the DU-EP801 (EP801), DU-EP801-RS (EP801-RS) and DU-EP801-CRG (EP801-CRG) drive units

4.4.1 for the DU-EP600 (EP6), DU-EP600-RS (EP6-RS) and DU-EP600-CRG (EP6-CRG) drive units

TAKE CARE: With the new motor firmware 4.4.1 of the DU-EP801 or DU-EP600 it is no more possible to change max. torque and max. peak power settings (which was a great advantage for the reduced “RS” motor versions which are used on many bikes from Orbea)! Ideally reset your drive unit back to the original “RS” settings before updating to motor firmware 4.4.1! However, with our Windows based miniMax program and a cable bound PCE interface it is still possible to change these values (also with the latest motor firmware 4.4.1).

TAKE CARE: Although this version of eMaxMobileApp is partially compatible with all the latest motor firmware versions of all drive units, it is NOT possible to change bike settings in order to increase max. motor support speed via Bluetooth!

If you want to speed up your bike with the latest motor firmware versions, you can use the latest version of our Windows based miniMax program in combination with a PCE interface or you can downgrade to a previous motor firmware (see documents in the support section).

With a cable bound SM-PCE02 interface and the latest verion of our Windows based miniMax – program you now can speed up your EP801 or EP6 based bike by yourself, see here.

So, if you are interested in optimizing your EP801 or EP6 based bike (or any other Shimano STePS based bike), just send an email to us and we will assist you.
