new version 2.14 of miniMax released

Today we have released the new version 2.14 of our Windows based miniMax program.

With this version a very individual setting of max. torque (max. 85Nm) and max. peak power (max. 500W) is possible on EP8 drive units and especially EP8-RS drive units. For using this functionality the user does not need to enter a bike specific licence key, so using this functionality is completly free of charge;-)

If you have already chosen individual values with miniMax and want to change these values later on with the E-Tube software, then you should reset the values you have changed with miniMax to default values before! Best is to use the blue marked default button related to your bike type (EP8 or EP8-RS) for this. Otherwise E-Tube does not recognize the values read from the bike and so will not allow to program new values and instead will show a warning message.

new version of eMaxMobileApp 1.39 for iOS and Android released

We have added some new features, especially for the DU-EP800 (EP8) drive unit. See e.g. the enhanced “light settings” view on “special settings“.

With this version of eMaxMobileApp it is possible to access and modify also the latest motor firmware versions from Shimano, but only in a LIMITED way (see very below).

TAKE CARE: Although this version of eMaxMobileApp is partially compatible with all the latest motor firmware versions of all drive units, it is NOT possible to change bike settings in order to increase max. motor support speed via Bluetooth!

If you want to speed up your bike with the latest motor firmware versions, you can use the latest version of our Windows based miniMax program or you can downgrade to a previous motor firmware (see documents in the support section).

Today we have released the new version 2.11 of our Windows based miniMax program.

There are some nice and new features (change of light output state, modification of remaining light time and light power [EP8 only] for saving battery capacity) which all could be used already in the licence free version.
